Mexico can win Group F on Wednesday, but it can also be eliminated. In what's set to be a wild day of World Cup action, El Tri will play against Sweden in the final match of the group stage, with a draw being enough to go through and win the group. But eyes will also be on the Germany vs. South Korea match, because if Germany fails to win, Mexico is guaranteed a spot in the next round.

The teams have no new major injuries and are expected to be close to full strength.

Mexico has come so far at the 2018 FIFA World Cup — but still has a long way to go. Mexico will face Sweden at 10 a.m. ET on Wednesday in its final World Cup 2018 Group F game. Mexico enters the contest in first place after consecutive wins but still needs a win or draw against Sweden to clinch a spot in the Round of 16. Sweden must win by two or more goals in order to secure a place in the knockout phase of the tournament. Oddsmakers peg Mexico as the slightest of favorites.

Group F comes to a conclusion on Wednesday as Mexico and Sweden face off at the Central Stadium in Ekaterinburg.

Mexico currently top the group but their spot isn't completely secure as both Sweden and Germany sit in second place and level with three points apiece. The South American side need to avoid a loss to Sweden should Germany win their remaining fixture against South Korea, who are already eliminated.

Sweden have an outside chance of making it to the last 16 should they win against Mexico and better their goal difference, though they come off the backs of a disappointing last minute 2-1 loss to holders Germany.
